Supporting local communities

Lewis Wind Power continues to support a number of local events and initiatives through our sponsorship programme. Over the past few years, we have supported some very worthy local causes.

 

2024 Sponsorship Fund - now open for applications

The 2024 sponsorship fund has now opened for applications. Projects and initiatives local to Stornoway can apply for a share of up to £12,500 before the January 29 deadline.

Lewis Wind Power is once again delighted to be sponsor of the HebCelt Festivals' Islands Stage for 2024.

HebCelt

‘The islands’ flagship event’, the Hebridean Celtic Festival or HebCelt is an international Celtic music festival, which takes place annually on the Castle green in Stornoway.

Lewis Wind Power is proud to be a long-standing sponsor of its Islands Stage.

The Lochs Show

Lewis Wind Power has been the sponsor of The Lochs Show over the last few years. The Lochs Show is the biggest event of its kind in the Western Isles and takes place each July in Laxay and is organised by the Lochs Agricultural Society.

Marathon Hebrides

Lewis Wind Power were delighted to be invited to sponsor the first Marathon Hebrides event back in August 2019. A running event spanning the full 26.2 miles in the Hebrides.
The organisers chose the stunning Isle of Harris as the host Island, due to the dramatic landscape, tropical waters and golden sandy beaches, making it the most desirable location in the country.

Stornoway Rugby Football

Stornoway Rugby Football Club was founded in 1952, over the years the club has always strived to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where people can enjoy all the benefits that the sport of Rugby can offer.
